 Ya se acerca a paso lento el mes morado, mes de tradición;  siente en el paladar el rico sabor del turrón, de los anticuchos y el picarón y el repiquetear de las castañuelas, las guitarras y el del buen cajón.

Mes de tradición, mes de procesión, de nuestro Señor de los Milagros, que engalana la ciudad que se viste de luces por su santo patrón.

Aún recuerdo cuando en la quincena de octubre Acho abría sus puertas para darle paso a la novillada preferial, que era organizada por el comité de damas de la P.I.P ( Policía de Investigaciones del Perú ) el aficionado podía ver lo más destacado de los novilleros españoles o mexicanos alternando con la mejor coleta nacional, se respiraba toros desde octubre; salías a las calles y sentías un aroma a tauromaquia.
